In addition to working for two years in the real estate entity audit and tax department of a major regional public accounting firm, he held the position of Controller of a large real estate development and rental company (investing in both single family and mixed use commercial/residential projects). In the 1990’s, he held a general contractors license and ran a residential and commercial remodeling firm.

Simon held the position of Controller of a financial services firm that specialized in merchant services, including credit card processing and business-to-business short-term financing.

Manufacturing

Simon held the position of Controller of a technology and manufacturing firm that has become the nation's leading manufacturer of printed circuit board prototyping systems. The firm's customers include Boeing, Apple, NASA, MIT, and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Real Estate

Simon was partners in a restaurant and bar in the resort town of Big Bear Lake. He performed the accounting services for the restaurant and obtained funding for its remodel and buld-out. He is familiar with the intricacies of the food service field, including government permitting, liquor licensing, management of food costs, and cash flow management.
